OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This product is for household use only. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fully fit in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. This appliance is provided with a protective device that may make the appliance inoperable under some abnormal conditions (such as immersion of the appliance). If the appliance becomes inoperable, return the appliance to a service center for examination and repair.

SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCES:
In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance. Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace. A double-insulated appliance is marked with the words "DOUBLE INSULATION" or "DOUBLE INSULATED".

The symbol  square  may also be marked on the appliance.

CHECK THE ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME YOU USE YOUR HOT AIR BRUSH. This product is equipped with an Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI). This is a safety feature that will render this product inoperable under some abnormal conditions, such as immersion in water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning properly, perform the following test. This test will allow you to confirm that the ACLI is working.

  1. Plug in the RevoStyler Hot Air Brush and press the test button on the plug (see diagram below).
    Reset Button/ALCI

  2. The product will stop working. There will be a click and the reset button will pop out.

  3. To reset the ACLI with the reset button, first unplug the product. Push the reset button in and re-insert the plug into the outlet.

  4. If the ACLI is not functioning properly, take your Hot Air Brush to the nearest authorized service center.

  5. If immersion in water does occur, take this product to a service center. DO NOT attempt to reset it.

  6. Repeat this test every time you use your Hot Air Brush to confirm that the ACLI is operational.

NOTE: If this product should go off and the ALCI reset button should pop up during use, this could indicate a malfunction in the product. Remove the plug from the outlet and allow the Hot Air Brush to cool down. Push the reset button and re-insert the plug into the outlet. The product should then function properly. If not, take your Hot Air Brush to the nearest authorized service center for examination and repair.

USER MAINTENANCE OF YOUR REVOSTYLER HOT AIR BRUSH
Read all safety instructions and warnings before cleaning your RevoStyler Hot Air Brush. For proper operation and performance, this product should be kept clean. Clogged or blocked air intake vents will cause the product to overheat. When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord, and clean the air intake openings with a small brush or brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. Only the outer surface should be wiped with a damp cloth.

If overheating does occur from clogged or blocked air intake vents, there is an automatic safety device that will shut the product or the heat portion of the product off to prevent damage or injury. If the product or heat shuts off, turn off the Hot Air Brush, unplug the cord and allow for the product to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting it. Make sure before you restart it that the air vents are clean and free of debris.
To clean your brush head:

  1. Remove the brush head from the handle.

  2. Remove any hair that has accumulated on your brush head.

  3. Rinse or briefly soak the brush head in warm, soapy water. DO NOT allow your handle to get wet.

  4. Before putting your brush head back onto the handle, ensure that it is completely dry.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As with any boar's hair brush, simply rinsing the brush head will allow the bristles to spring back into place.

  5. No lubrication is needed within or on the outside of the product for it to operate properly.

CAUTION
Never allow the power supply cord to be twisted, pulled or bent. If the cord is twisted, untwist it before use. Never wrap the cord tightly around the product or damage will occur at the point of entry into the product. This may cause the cord to rupture or short. Inspect the cord frequently to ensure there is no damage. Stop using your product immediately if there is visible damage, or if the Hot Air Brush stops or operates intermittently.

If the cord or product is damaged or does not operate properly, take it for repair at the nearest service center. No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.

IMPORTANT - STORAGE
When not in use, the RevoStyler Hot Air Brush should be unplugged and stored in a safe, dry location that is out of reach of children. Do not wrap the cord around the product. You should allow it to hang or lie loose at the point of entry into the product.

IF YOU MUST USE YOUR APPLIANCE IN THE BATHROOM, INSTALL AN ALCI* NOW!
Your local electrician can help you decide which type is best for you - a portable unit that plugs into the electrical outlet or a permanent unit installed by your electrician. The National Electrical Code now requires ACLIs in the bathrooms, garages and outdoor outlets of all new homes.

Install an ALCI - Prevent Accidental Death!

WHY DO YOU NEED AN ALCI?
Electricity and water do not mix. If your hair dryer falls into water while it is plugged in, the electric shock can kill you, even if the switch is OFF. A regular fuse or circuit breaker won't protect you under these circumstances. An ACLI offers you far greater protection.

AN ACLI CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE. COMPARED TO THAT, THE PRICE IS SMALL. DON'T WAIT, INSTALL ONE NOW.

*ACLI is a sensitive device that reacts immediately to a small electric current leak by stopping the electricity flow. It will provide you with more protection, additional to what you get with your safety device.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR REVOSTYLER HOT AIR BRUSH

  1. Partially dry your hair. This can be done by running your RevoStyler Hot Air Brush through your hair without activating the rotation, by using a standard hair dryer or by allowing your hair to air dry. When your hair is over half dry, you can begin to engage the rotation.

  2. Begin with the bottom layers in the back of your hair, and use sectioning clips to secure the remainder of your hair.

  3. Place a 1"-2" section onto your RevoStyler Hot Air Brush near the root area and activate the heat portion of your Hot Air Brush. Your brush can be used with low heat, high heat or no heat at all.

  4. When the brush has nearly reached the ends of your hair, activate the rotation. This is done by pressing the directional button near the top of the handle.

  5. Hold the brush up and away from your scalp, so extra pieces of hair are not added to the brush. Be sure to hold your arm in one place with enough tension for your hair to stay on the brush as it continues to spin. The brush is doing the work for you, so there is no need to turn your wrist either.
Hold Brush Away From Your Scalp
  6. Allow the brush to spin in your hair until the section has been completely dried. Note that the directional button is pressed one way for clockwise motion and one way for counter-clockwise motion. You may wish to use different directions as you work your way around your head.

  7. Continue throughout your hair until all your hair has been dried.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
The RevoStyler Hot Air Brush contains a safety clutch to ensure that when used properly, your hair will not tangle in the brush. If there is too much hair on your brush or it gets too close to your scalp, you may hear a slight clicking sound. This is the safety clutch activating. It will not harm your hair or your brush. Simply stop the rotation and remove the brush from your hair. When you fist begin, you may notice the safety clutch activates frequently. Don't worry, as you get more familiar with your new styling tool, this will happen less and less.
The aluminum dividers may be hot to the touch after using your Hot Air Brush. Allow them to cool off before touching the brush head or storing your Hot Air Brush.

FOR BEST RESULTS:

  • ALWAYS section your hair. Work with one section of hair at a time, using sectioning clips to hold back the pieces of hair that are not being styled.

  • ALWAYS use with towel dried hair. Do not attempt to rotate the brush in hair that is extremely wet.

  • The RevoStyler Hot Air Brush may not work effectively with all hair products. Be sure to test them out. But remember, you can use any styling product that you like AFTER you have finished styling with your brush.

  • DO NOT use on tangled or teased hair or hair extensions.

  • ALWAYS make sure that your brush head is placed securely on to your Hot Air Brush handle. The brush head will click when it is in place.
